Canary Winged are native to the Amazon river basin of South America. Non-native wild populations of canary-wing parakeets have established themselves in several U.S. states, including Florida. 

 

Average adult size is around 10 inches.  Life span 15+ years

 

Canary-winged parakeets are not sexually dimorphic, which means males and females are not visually different. A proper DNA test by a qualified avian veterinarian can tell you whether your pet is a boy or girl.
